Cabbage Cooked Down with Onion and Black Pepper

An hour of letting go.

  • One head green cabbage, cored and sliced
  • Two yellow onions, sliced thin
  • Butter, four tablespoons
  • Coarse black pepper
  • Flaky salt
  1. Melt butter in a wide pan.
  2. Add onions. Low heat.
  3. When soft, add cabbage.
  4. Season. Cover. Walk away.
  5. Stir when you remember.
  6. Cook until collapsed and sweet.

Some things just need time.
