Beef Short Ribs with Soy and Bay

Three hours. The oven does the work.

  • Bone-in short ribs
  • Soy sauce
  • Bay leaves, three or four
  • One yellow onion, quartered
  • Garlic, one head, halved
  • Black pepper
  • Water
  1. Season ribs. Let them sit.
  2. Brown on all sides. Take your time.
  3. Add onion, garlic, bay.
  4. Soy and water to cover halfway.
  5. Lid on. Low oven.
  6. Three hours. Do not check.
  7. The meat will tell you when.
